As part of our maths lessons this month we are learning about the number 6. How we can show 6 with our fingers, what number 6 comes before, what number 6 comes after it on the number line, the different ways we can make it (5+1, 3+3, 2 and 4, 6 and 0) and how to the write the numeral 6. We also had fun coming up with how many different parts of our body we could touch to count to 6! Here's a fun clip the children loved this week too!
This month is our turn to play with the school's set of polydrons! Plolydrons are a wonderful way to enable the children to build large constructions whilst all the time learn about shape, 2 and 3 dimensional objects, texture (rough and smooth), team work and role play. During one play session this week the children decided to open a restaurant and serve some pizzas!
