The children of Mary's Second Class have had a very busy year and are now beginning to look back on all of the experiences they have had along with the memories they have created together, now that the end is fast approaching! They have achieved so much since last September - both academically and socially - and it is clear that they are very much ready for Third Class! Well Done everyone!
Check out below, some of those experiences and memories that we are now looking fondly back on!
2nd Class school tour
Recently, we had our school tour to Victorian Escapade in Mullingar. Created especially for primary schools, this fun filled, hands-on day explores the wonder of a world now past. Costume, creative play and real artefacts in a stunning Victorian house take children on a time travel adventure to learn about and experience life long ago. Second Class had SO much fun there and it will surely be a memory that lasts a lifetime!
On a fine, sunny day in June, we spent an afternoon playing mini matches of soccer against the other 2nd Classes from the school next door, Citywest & Saggart CNS. We couldn't believe it when in the end we had scored the most goals, and took home the Winners title for the 2017 School Soccer Blitz! "ETNS is the best....ETNS is the best!!"
Sports Day was a huge success this year! The sun shone for us and we had many happy faces as we skipped, ran and hopped from course to course playing an array of sports and sporting games!! We even had medalists this year! Well done to all those who won a race and of course, everybody else who participated!! Let's hope next year is as much fun!
Duck's day out!
Eldon's class had a busy year growing and hatching duck eggs!! With many trial and errors, a little duck was finally born and it was the children of 3rd Class who took him under their wing! He goes by the name of Naymar (not sure where this name came from!), and many children from 3rd and other classes had the privilege of taking Naymar home some evenings to mind him so he was not all alone in the school! Naymar has now moved to a farm to be with his fellow duck friends! Slán Naymar!!
