Gerda from the Junior Achievers has been visiting us with interesting stories, this week she brought some pots, compost and seeds. We all really enjoyed the opportunity to plant our own seeds. There were carrot, tomato and peas seeds. We are really excited to see them develop and grow.
We really enjoyed listening to the wonderful stories that parents brought into the classroom during Mother Language and Book Week
We have all been looking extra stylish in the classroom due to our in-class Hair Salon.
Thanks to a generous donation we have some new visitors to the classroom. The Bee Bots are hugely popular during play time. These cheeky creatures can get up to all sorts of adventures (if you know which buttons to press)
Following on from our work looking into wet and dry things we conducted an experiment to investigate what effect water has on different types of food.
We looked at a variety of dry foods, cereal, rice, pasta and oats. Then we added water to some of the foods and observed the difference between the wet food and the dry food. Then we put the foods away and looked at them again the following day, and again after the weekend, We discussed the changes that had occurred in the food. There were some surprising finds (and smells)
Ghlacamar páirt i gceolchoirm scoile inniu chun Seachtain na Gaeilge a cheiliúradh. Táimid go léir an-bhródúil as an gur i láthair a rinneamar, agus bhaineamar an-taitneamh as taispeántais a chéile chomh maith. Tá súil againn go mbainfidh tú taitneamh astu chomh maith! We took part in a concert today to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish week). We are all very proud of our performances, and we really enjoyed watching each others' performances too. We hope you will enjoy them as much as we did!
