We have amazing news! Our incubator project has been a great success. Four of our eggs hatched last Thursday and now we have four chicks in our class. They are beautiful and we love having them in our classroom. We are watching them grow and learn everyday and other classes and students in our school have come to visit. Our chicks will live with us until Thursday and then they will head back to the farm to join the rest of their flock. Have a look through our photos. We named each of our chicks. See if you can spot each one from their descriptions: Oreo is black, Shadow Choco is black and yellow, Flappy is yellow with a ginger back and Yolkie is a lighter yellow colour.

We had such a fun experience in the middle of March. We got to do a real archaeological dig in our school! The Big Dig archaeologists brought in a Viking house full of artefacts for us to discover. The archaeologists taught us how an archaeological site is set up and how to use the digging tools. We discovered so many interesting artefacts and learned more about how Viking people lived. It was a super experience! The Lego after-school club came to visit our class this week and gave us a fun demonstration. We got to build a motorised Lego lorry in pairs and it was so enjoyable! Thank you Lego team!

We also created rainbow portraits by adding water to tissue paper and letting it dye the paper. Student Council ElectionsWe had an exciting week last week in our student election vote. We had eleven candidates who went forward for the election. They made fantastic posters and gave super speeches! It was a great competition.
