We learnt so much about Italy and we were all begging Lisa to take us on school tour to ITALIA! We wanted to eat 'il cibo' (the food)! We wanted to explore the cities and the islands- Rome, Venice, Pisa, Florence, Sicily and Capri! We wanted to see the picturesque and incredible sights- the Colosseum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Mount Vesuvius and Mount Etna, Pompeii and the Vatican. There was so much to learn about and we were ready to hop on a plane together. For art, we were inspired by the famous Leonardo Da Vinci. We gave Mona Lisa a unique makeover and presented our art to the class! Take a look below.

We learned all about Diwali in Second Class in November. It was so special and interesting to learn about this five day Festival of Light which is celebrated around the world by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains including some of our friends in class who celebrate this festival at home too. We were in awe and really enjoyed listening to the story of Rama & Sita, making our own clay diyas and creating beautiful rangoli patterns with chalk pastels.
The Giraffe is our restorative practice mascot in school because he has a ginormous heart and is so empathetic thinking about how others are feeling with it's very long neck! We are working hard in Second Class becoming a restorative class. Take a look at the giraffes we drew, designed and painted- we love them!
